  • Introduction
  • Different interpretations of capitalism and regulation around the world - the shareholder and the stakeholder approach.
  • A conceptual model of a governance framework for stakeholder management.
  • Focus on the main stakeholder groups - shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers, civil society organisations (e.g. NGOs etc), and the government. This will cover the main ethical issues that face the company on a daily basis. 

 

The Key Learning objectives from the presentation are:

  • There are different interpretations of capitalism around the world (and in each country) and this impacts on governance and compliance.
  • The Stakeholder approach provides a holistic approach to governance that integrates an ethical approach with compliance to how businesses operate.
  • Successful organisations must manage their stakeholders, and the presentation will examine the practical implications of the ethical relationship between the company and each stakeholder group.
