Summary Article: IAF Consultation Paper
The Central Bank Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) is intended to improve executive accountability within the Irish Financial Services and strengthen and enhance individual accountability in the management and operation of Regulated Financial Service Providers (RFSP’s).
This article summarises the draft regulations and guidance which seek to provide clarity in terms of the Central Bank’s expectations for the implementation of three aspects of the framework: the Senior Executive Accountability Framework (SEAR), the Conduct Standards and certain elements of the enhancements to the Fitness & Probity regime.

Applied Research Project - Fitness and Probity Regime Survey
The below survey is a piece of online research being conducted as part of an Applied Research Project for the MSc. Compliance programme.
The purpose of the survey is to assess understanding and alignment of compliance obligations associated with the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity Regime introduced by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010.

Compliance Institute Team news
The Institute is pleased to announce that Dermot Kennedy and Enoch Frimpong have joined the team as Head of Operations and Digital Content Creator Executive respectively.
Dermot is an experienced Director, having gained significant experience in Compliance, Risk and Fraud, Operations, Engineering and Customer Services management primarily in the Information Technology and Fintech areas. Dermot was most recently CS Director Ireland at Remitly, who are a global cross-border digital remittance provider and led the launch of Remitly’s European operation in Cork, growing the site to 270 team members in 2 years. Prior to joining Remitly, Dermot gained 20 years of senior leadership experience at multinational companies including Amazon, Dell, and Sanmina.
Ciara Lambe, our outgoing Head of Operations departed at the end of March, and we wish her well in her future endeavours.
