Overview:

The Digital Markets Act came into force on 1 November 2022. While its greatest impacts will be felt by the largest tech platforms (“gatekeepers”), it is part of a digital services package that heralds a new compliance era for the digital market in the EU. In this webinar, you will learn about the implications for gatekeepers and the opportunities it presents for individuals and for business users of their services. We will discuss why we can expect the DMA to generate a new breed of collaborative technologies which should broaden the benefits of the digital economy across the EU and the opportunities for compliance professionals arising from the EU’s Digital Services Package.

  • The Law, the Stakeholders and the Timelines
  • Why the EU has adopted the DMA, who it is targeting and the key timeframes for its implementation.
  • A new compliance era for big tech
  • Key Changes for Gatekeepers – Practical implications
  • Benefits to users of Gatekeeper services
  • Opportunities for Compliance Professionals under DMA
  • Other Implications for users of Gateway services
